We offer
programmes, workshops and experiences
which
raise awareness about the social and environmental issues. They
open a
range of possibilities for conceptual
thinking around the notions of reject
and norms of beauty.
Our challenge is to invent space-times out of
daily life which question our relations with ourselves, others,
our senses and the matter.
These workshops are intended for any company, school or institution interested in co-creating an alternative and pedagogical project as well as a committed civic action. We work together with you to design tailor-made experiences that meet your needs.
How?
. We provide collective intelligence tools and methodologies to learn to create as a group.
. We focus on the process rather than on the result in order to create something original.
. We sublimate waste materials to invent new aesthetic, immersive and narrative languages.
We aim to change the perception of a reject, and reinforce our accountability link to matter.
. We rely on powerful symbols which bond living beings: the manual exploration and the act of making together.

Making ephemeral art
On a sunny Sunday we welcomed several families to this workshop
which took place at the Wangari Greenhouse of Saint-Ouen for the “Lire dans l’herbe” event.
Following a narrative based on the artisanal gesture, people collectively sculpted matter and embellished it with colorful spices and plant-based supplies. We previously gathered and transformed all the resources used during the workshop to make sure they were biodegradable, so that participants could afterwards hide the sculptures in the Parc of Saint-Ouen.

Re-creating from nature
Last october we offered a creative workshop to the inhabitants of the ecodistrict of l'Ile Saint-Denis. Neighbours, children and adults, gathered together in the Studio to explore and transform organic materials that we previously collected. Participants then created collaborative sculptures and displayed them in the district. Coffee grounds, mica flakes, dried petals and vegetable peels or even paprika, there was something to suit all tastes!

Co-creating Precious Rejects
We taught this one-week workshop at the HEAD Geneva, in partnership with Caritas Geneva, on how to question and to rethink the creative process.
Nowadays as designers we need to reflect on the social and environmental impacts of our creations: what medium and materials do we use, where to source them, what message do we want to convey? Exceptional and precious matters of tomorrow might be the ones which will have the smallest impact on our ecosystems’s preservation.
This workshop aims to question matter and to discover ways of upcycling it through the testing, twist and sublimation of collected objects provided by Caritas. This approach is also an opportunity to reconnect to a creative and collective process free from result objectives.

Challenging
Upcycling’s
Aesthetics
We taught this workshop at the HEAD Geneva to second-year jewelry and accessory students.
We set ourselves the challenge of creating collections of objects with the random resources from Caritas at our disposal. Designing an aesthetic and developing its signature with already existing elements whose visual identities were no longer relevant. Each proposal designed by students in partnership with Caritas teams falls within an approach of a demanding sustainable design.
